996 staff members drafted for counting duty in Tirupati, says Collector

The second phase of staff randomization has finished, and the third phase will start on Tuesday morning, he says.

Everything is set for the peaceful completion of the vote counting on June 4th for Tirupati (SC) Lok Sabha and seven assembly constituencies, according to District Collector and District Election Officer (DEO), Pravin Kumar. At a meeting with general and counting observers Ujjwal Kumar Ghosh, Kailash Wankhede, K. Jyoti, Vidyasagar Hiremukh, Jyotsna Padiyar, Inspector-General (Police Observer) Mohan Rao, and Superintendent of Police (SP) V. Harshavardhan Raju, the DEO announced the successful randomization of counting staff for the second phase.

The Election Commission of India’s website confirms that the process is finished. Mr. Kumar stated that a total of 996 staff, comprising 297 counting supervisors, 369 counting assistants, and 330 micro observers, have been assigned for counting duty. The third phase of randomization will occur on Tuesday morning, with counting staff being allocated to their respective constituencies and informed about their counting tables.
