Homegrown chicken QSR chain BIGGUYS raises Rs 16.62 crore from NRIs

The homegrown chicken fast-food chain BIGGUYS has secured over Rs 16.62 crore ($2 million) from a group of Non-Resident Indians (NRIs). This investment, comprising equity and other instruments, is intended to speed up the expansion of the QSR brand in South India, focusing on areas such as Bangalore, Chennai, Odisha, and Andhra Pradesh.

BIGGUYS, a fast-food chain specializing in homegrown chicken, recently secured funding of Rs 16.62 crore ($2 million) from a group of Non-Resident Indians (NRIs), according to a press release issued on Wednesday.

This investment combines equity and other financial tools to speed up the expansion of the QSR brand in South India, focusing on areas such as Bangalore, Chennai, Odisha, and Andhra Pradesh. Additionally, it aims to serve cities of various tiers with innovative approaches.

Biraja Rout, founder of BIGGUYS, expressed excitement about the significant interest from NRIs wanting to invest in Indian homegrown QSRs. He finds their trust in the vision and dedication to the Indian market very encouraging. BIGGUYS, launched last year, already operates 120 stores nationwide.
