  • The updated SCORES system will streamline processes with features like auto-routing, auto-escalation, monitoring, and shorter timelines.
  • In SCORES 2.0, complaint resolution time has been cut to 21 days with two review levels. Initial review by the ‘Designated Body’ will be followed by SEBI’s second review if the investor remains unsatisfied.
  • SEBI has integrated a KYC registration agency database to simplify investor registration on SCORES.
  • Starting today, complaints can only be lodged through the new SCORES version, accessible at https://scores.sebi.gov.in. The old website, https://scores.gov.in, will only serve to check the status of previous complaints.
  • SEBI has discontinued the old SCORES app and plans to launch a new one soon.
  • Rohan Bopanna and his partner Matthew Ebden won the Miami Open men’s doubles final on March 30, making history. They beat Ivan Dodik from Croatia and Austin Krajicek from the USA with a score of 6-7, 6-3, 10-16. Bopanna, at 44 years old, became the oldest person to win an ATP Masters 1000 title, breaking his own record. He previously won the Indian Wells title and is the second Indian, after Leander Paes, to reach the finals of all nine ATP Masters 1000 events. This victory marks Bopanna’s second Grand Slam title and his first in men’s doubles.
  • India’s manufacturing industry grew rapidly over the past 16 years due to increasing demand. The manufacturing PMI rose to 59.1 in March from 56.9 in February, and it was 56.5 in January. Production and sales saw their quickest expansion since October 2020. The PMI stayed above 50, signaling growth rather than decline. Improved operating conditions were seen in new orders, output, job creation, and input stocks. Yet, cost pressures hit a five-month high. The outlook for India’s manufacturing sector seemed mixed.
  • In March 2024, UPI transactions reached new highs, but they dipped slightly in February 2024 due to increased investments before the end of the financial year. Many transactions nearing the daily limit of Rs 1 lakh were seen in March. In the fiscal year 2022-2023, UPI transactions increased by 55%. The year-on-year growth in transaction volume remained over 40%. In the fiscal year 2023-2024, there were 13,115 transactions, with Rs 139 lakh crore in value, compared to 8376 transactions in the previous fiscal year. Transaction volume increased by 56.6%, and transaction value increased by 43.4% in FY24. It’s anticipated that UPI transactions will surpass 100 crore per day by FY27.
