This technology, developed indigenously, aims to enhance the country’s self-reliance in portable power solutions like inverters and UPS systems. IIT-P holds the copyright for commercial use of this technology for 20 years. The invention was developed by a team of five young scientists—Abhijeet Kumar, Saurabh Rai, Abhishek Ranjan, Radheshyam Kumar, and Rahmat Ali—under the guidance of AK Thakur, the Academic Dean of IIT-P, at the Incubation Center, under the Startup Scheme ‘Portable Power Technology’. This innovative technology is set to enter the market next month, offering a combined battery and inverter solution that is one-fifth the weight of traditional setups. Besides its cost-effectiveness, this product champions clean and green energy production, devoid of harmful emissions or health risks.
