Neeraj Chopra, the current Olympic and world champion in javelin throw, kicked off his 2024 season with a strong performance. He took second place at the Doha Diamond League 2024, with an impressive throw of 88.36m on his last attempt. This put him just 2cm behind Jakub Vadlejch from Czechia, who is the reigning Diamond League champion and won silver at the Tokyo 2020 Olympics.
