The Bharat Gaurav Tourist train started its journey on the Ambedkar Circuit from New Delhi.

To commemorate the 132nd birth anniversary of social reformer BR Ambedkar, a new tourist train named Bharat Gaurav has been launched from New Delhi. This train, flagged off by Union Ministers G Kishan Reddy and Virendra Kumar, will journey through cities associated with Ambedkar across India. Departing from Hazrat Nizamuddin railway station, the seven-night, eight-day tour will explore significant locations in Maharashtra and Bihar.

“Vande Metro will be launched by December 2023,” stated Ashwini Vaishnaw.

Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw has said the government aims to launch ‘Vande Metro’ by December 2023. This follows the success of the Vande Bharat Express, a semi-high-speed train running in various regions of the country. The new metro system will link major cities, offering an affordable travel option.

Telangana’s CM reveals 125-foot-tall Ambedkar statue in Hyderabad.

Telangana’s Chief Minister, K Chandrasekhar Rao, revealed a 125-foot bronze statue of BR Ambedkar in Hyderabad to honor the 132nd anniversary of the Indian Constitution architect’s birth. The unveiling event was large, accommodating over 35,000 people from all 119 constituencies. Around 750 state-owned buses were arranged for public transportation to the ceremony. This statue in Hyderabad is now the tallest of Ambedkar in India.

PM Modi inaugurates railway projects and a methanol plant in Assam.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi visited Guwahati for a day and revealed various railway projects in the Northeast. He also opened a methanol plant and initiated the construction of a bridge over the Brahmaputra river. India-EU trade deal to boost economic relations, says CII.

Jagan Mohan Reddy, the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, is reported to be the richest Chief Minister in India according to the ADR report.

Jagan Mohan Reddy of Andhra Pradesh tops the list with assets worth ₹510 crore, while Mamata Banerjee, the Chief Minister of West Bengal, has the lowest assets at around ₹15 lakh. The report also highlighted that Jammu and Kashmir, a Union Territory, currently lacks a chief minister. Overall, 29 out of the 30 CMs analyzed (97 percent) are millionaires, with an average wealth of ₹33.96 crore per CM, as per the ADR.
