Sanjeev Bhasin Recommends Four Stocks for Profit Amid Market Volatility
Sanjiv Bhasin said that Ashok Leyland, Maruti and Bajaj Auto along with Motherson Sumi will be four good options to make money in the near-to-long term.
Share markets have become victims of profit booking. After Wednesday’s big fall in the market, selling pressure is visible on Thursday also. Meanwhile, share market expert Sanjeev Bhasin has told four such stocks in this market, in which good profit can be made.
Sanjeev Bhasin, director, IIFL Securities, said Ashok Leyland, Maruti Suzuki and Bajaj Auto as well as Motherson Sumi would be four good choices to make money in the near-to-long term.
Bhasin said that in most of the other stocks, especially Mahindra & Mahindra and others, we have removed some chips from the block as it has hit new highs, which has been a big outperformer in our portfolio.
Bhasin said that when there is extreme greed then book some profit from the table and withdraw funds and extreme fear gives you an opportunity to enter the market. We are buying IOC, NALCO, ONGC, HPCL in this correction.
Sanjiv Bhasin said that in the CV sector we still consider Ashok Leyland as our top choice. In the four-wheeler sector, Maruti and we remain in a heavy position on Bajaj Auto. Now as far as performance is concerned, you have to see that stock prices have already outperformed auto sales.
He said Ashok Leyland, Maruti and Bajaj Auto as well as Motherson Sumi will be four good stocks to make money in the near-to-long term.
On the market fall, Bhasin said that corrections in the market are always unnecessary, but they should accept that it is much needed. Every day people were making money on midcaps, right or wrong, money is coming in. SEBI may have warned that entry is easy, exit is sometimes difficult due to liquidity, but that is an integral part of the market. There was US inflation data and perhaps 22,000 was a tough number to live above. We still think that the broader market is where the money is.
Bhasin said it will be private banks that will lead the market and there should be a dominant name. Midcap is something where we are asking people to offload some chips, but now that we have got this correction.
