Fast bowler Avesh Khan is causing big trouble for the opposing team in the Ranji Trophy semi-finals. Avesh is playing for Madhya Pradesh against Vidarbha. He bowled extremely well with both the new and old ball on the first day of the match. Thanks to Avesh’s great bowling, Madhya Pradesh managed to get Vidarbha all out for just 170 runs in the first innings. Although Avesh was part of Team India for the first two test matches against England, he didn’t get to play. Later, he was left out of the squad for the last three test matches.

Avesh Khan, playing for Madhya Pradesh, got 4 wickets for 49 runs against Vidarbha in the Ranji semi-final. Kulwant Khejroliya took 2 wickets for 38 runs, and Venkatesh Iyer also got 2 wickets for 28 runs. Madhya Pradesh bowled out Vidarbha for a low score in the first innings. Then, in their own first innings, Madhya Pradesh scored 47 runs with the loss of 1 wicket by the end of the day’s play. However, they are still trailing behind by 123 runs.

In Madhya Pradesh, the spinners only bowled for 2.4 overs

The VCA Stadium pitch was really green. Madhya Pradesh’s spinners only bowled 2.4 overs out of 56.4 overs in the day. Kumar Karthikeya, a left-arm spinner, got Vidarbha’s last batsman, Umesh Yadav, out. But other spinners like Saransh Jain didn’t get much chance to play.

Karun Nair scored fifty runs successfully

When playing for Vidarbha, only Karun Nair managed to score fifty runs, reaching 63 with nine fours in 105 balls. Avesh, an Indian fast bowler, got Madhya Pradesh off to a good start by getting opener Dhruv Shorey out for 13 runs. After that, Vidarbha kept losing wickets regularly, with the highest partnership being 36 runs between Arthav Tayde (39 runs, eight fours) and Aman Mokhade (13 runs, 75 balls). Tayde, who scored a century in the quarterfinal against Karnataka, got caught by wicketkeeper Himanshu Mantri off Iyer’s ball after facing 63 balls.

Vidarbha’s cricket team lost 5 players for 106 points

Karun, who scored the most runs for Vidarbha this season, stepped up to bat. Unfortunately, he didn’t get much support from the other players. Mokhade got out thanks to Avesh’s bowling. Soon after, Yash Rathod and captain Akshay Wadkar also lost their wickets within just five runs. This left Vidarbha with a score of 106 runs for five wickets down. Vidarbha’s hopes of scoring at least 200 runs were dashed when Karun Nair got bowled by Khejroliya while attempting a pull shot. Avesh Khan, who started playing first-class cricket in 2014, has taken 164 wickets in 43 matches. He has achieved 5-wicket hauls 8 times and 4-wicket hauls 10 times.
