The Ministry of Defence plans to have a brainstorming session about “Aatmnirbhar Bharat” and the “Make in India” initiative. This session aims to come up with practical ideas by involving everyone, discussing at a high level, and encouraging private companies to get more involved in defense research and manufacturing.
Defense Ministry Holds Brainstorming Session to Boost Aatmnirbhar Bharat in Defense Sector
The defense ministry will have a two-day brainstorming session on March 4 and 5 about making India self-reliant (Aatmnirbhar Bharat) and the Make in India initiative. They want to come up with practical ideas by discussing with various people to boost Indian-made products and get more private companies involved in defense research and manufacturing.
The meeting will be led by Chief of Defence Staff Anil Chauhan, and Defence Secretary Shri Giridhar Aramane will give the main speech. The event will discuss various topics, including identifying challenges and finding ways to support our own military efforts. It will also focus on solving maintenance problems, getting more private companies involved in defense research and production, and improving repair facilities for the Armed Forces.
The HQ IDS and SIDM are working together on the event. It will bring together important people from the Ministry of Defence, Armed Forces, and Industry to boost efforts to make more things in India. They’ll make a plan with clear deadlines to speed up making things in India for defense.
