The district’s council schools are looking after the students’ health. They’ve made kitchen gardens in 65 of these schools, where students will have nutritious mid-day meals with fresh vegetables. These gardens are right on the school grounds, growing organic greens for the meals.
Each kitchen garden in the council schools costs Rs 5,000. The government and departmental efforts aim to improve the quality of education and health for children. Kitchen gardens are set up in 65 council schools, growing nutritious green vegetables. This initiative will extend to more schools following government instructions, enhancing the mid-day meal program with healthier options for students.
