The Himachal Pradesh Congress has started a campaign to bring back expelled leaders into its party, aiming for the upcoming general elections.
Rejoining of Formerly Expelled Leaders Strengthens Congress in Himachal Pradesh
In Himachal Pradesh, Karun Sharma, the former chief of NSUI’s Himachal Pradesh unit, who was expelled from the Congress seven years ago, rejoined the party on Monday.
The Himachal Pradesh Congress has started a campaign to bring back expelled leaders as they prepare for the upcoming general elections.
NSUI is the student organization affiliated with the Congress party.
Sharma, previously expelled over alleged anti-party actions, was readmitted with the presence of Satpal Raizada, the Congress state unit vice-president.
Ajay Chaudhary, Vishal Sharma, Paras Bhandari, Rahul, and Bhupinder Bindra also joined the party, along with Sharma.
Raizada, a former MLA from Una, emphasized the party’s need for every member in the upcoming general elections.
He clarified that Sharma had been previously separated from the party due to certain reasons, but he remained loyal to the party’s ideology throughout.
Sharma expressed his rejoining the party as a return to his family.
