Central India may experience rain, thunderstorms, hail, and lightning today and tomorrow, according to the India Meteorological Department (IMD).
The weather agency predicted heavy activity from a western disturbance in the western Himalayan area starting February 29, moving towards nearby plains from March 01 to 04.
Today, Jammu & Kashmir, Ladakh, Gilgit, Baltistan, Muzaffarabad, and Himachal Pradesh may experience some light rain and snow due to a western disturbance. According to IMD, this disturbance is expected to be strongest on March 2nd and 3rd, 2024.
Today in Delhi, expect mostly cloudy skies with a chance of drizzle later in the day, according to the Meteorological Department. Yesterday, the minimum temperature in the national capital was 8.3 degrees Celsius, which is four degrees below the usual for this time of year. The forecast for today includes partly cloudy skies with the possibility of thunderstorms and rain.
In some areas of the country:
- Arunachal Pradesh may experience occasional rain and isolated thunderstorms for the next 6-7 days due to a weather trough.
- Rain is expected in Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, and Tripura until February 29.
- Kerala and Tamil Nadu will likely have hot and humid conditions today, and Rayalaseema will experience the same until February 28.
